Quick Cleaning Hack: Face Wipes

Quick Tip: If you use a makeup removal wipe to remove makeup before bed, use it to wipe out your sink before you toss it. This keeps the sink clean longer.

I have tried to follow the Fly Lady cleaning method for years (and years). Almost ten years, if we are getting exact. Some tips have stuck and some have not (most have not, let’s be honest). One of the recommendations is the “Swish and swipe” daily to keep your bathrooms clean. I could never get this habit going. 

Sadly, this means my bathroom sink was getting fairly grungy with my hair and makeup and all the grime that gets in a sink. Usually, after I would take my makeup off with a face wipe, I would use the wipe on the sink faucet and handles just to clean them up a bit. 

Then, one day a few weeks ago, I realized why don’t I use it to swish out my sink? My grungy sink? So now, after I finish using the wipe on my face, I swish it around my sink to get rid of any stray hairs or any dirty spots. I buy the makeup remover wipes from Costco and they are huge and definitely have more scrub in them after I’m done.
