Weekly Review:

1. Fun – Score: 8

  • Highs: We have had a really busy week and weekend. Lots of sports, lots of family, lots of friend time.
  • Lows: Not much in the low category, had a fun filled week with lots going on.
2. Career – Score: 8

  • Highs: Work has been insanely busy and I have multiple projects I’m working on. Juggling different projects can be fun and I love to stay busy.
  • Lows: There weren’t many lows for my career this week. Great week!
3. Contributions/Giving – Score: 2
  • Highs: I wish I had more time to devote to this category. I may have the chance to volunteer some of my time in the next few weeks to a local sports organization for kids, so maybe this category will finally see an increase.
  • Lows: This area is really dragging down my overall score, but I can’t seem to find any time to improve it.
4. Spirituality – Score: 5
  • Highs: I am still reading one chapter of “The Untethered Soul” each night before going to sleep and I’m really making the effort to remember the concepts during the day.
  • Lows: Still need more in this area, but working on it feels good!
5. Finances – Score: 8
  • Highs: Looking good in this area. Can’t wait to get started on our house projects!
  • Lows: I have a lot of ideas but don’t seem to get to any of them. Still proud of where we are.
6. Relationship – Score: 4
  • Highs: Had some struggles this week due to pressure and stress. Hopefully we can find some better ground and make better choices this next week.
  • Lows: Still need some date nights and some quality alone time.
7. Environment – Score: 5
  • Highs: My home is just a disaster and there isn’t much of a “high”. However, I did do most of my cleaning tasks last week and I have kept up on the basics.
  • Lows: The state of our home just makes me sad. I know I can’t compare it to photos on social media but I still feel like it should be much better than it is.
8. Family/friends – Score: 9
  • Highs: Saw lots of friends and family this weekend and had fun!
  • Lows: Not much in the low area, just need more time!
9. Personal Development – Score: 8
  • Highs: My reading has been steady and consistent and I’ve actually put a few changes into action.
  • Lows: I have quite a few library books that are coming up due that I haven’t read and can no longer renew, and that always stresses me out and makes me want to read faster and not implement. I hope to stop this cycle.
10. Health – Score: 9
  • Highs: I geared up for a 12K race this weekend. I only went on one training run last week but I still felt great getting out there. So happy to be running again!
  • Lows: I’ve lost some of the gains from macro counting but I can’t seem to find the energy to start it up again. Still deciding what to do about nutrition (why can’t I just eat what I want??? why do I have to “count” something forever???) so this is stressing me out.
Weekly Total: 64/100 (+6 points from last week)

I had a really good and busy week which is definitely reflected in the increase of my total weekly score. I felt really good health-wise since I finally got outside and ran. I love getting outside and it definitely helps my psyche. I hope to start getting outside more. I’ve also been really looking forward to my early mornings and the reading I’ve been doing.

My first focus area was Environment last week. Our home is still a disaster because we rushed out the door this weekend and travelled for a couple days. I always try to pick up the house a bit before we go but this time I just have no free time to do that. Epic fail.

My other focus area was Spirituality. I have kept up with reading a chapter in “The Untethered Soul” every night before going to sleep and I usually drift off to sleep thinking about the chapter. I have also started to think about the important concepts during the day as well.

My focus areas for this week are:

1. Relationship – We have some areas to work on this week so hopefully we can focus on our relationship.

2. Environment – This one still needs to be a focus area this week so that we can get some sort of order going on in this home.

What are you working on this week? I’d love to hear about it in the comments below.
