Mantra of the Week

This week has been a bit of a shit show and there is no reason to think it’s going to turn around any time soon. I won’t bore anyone with details of kid sports, end of the school year activities and tasks, baseball tournaments, big work releases and projects with never-ending issues.

I will say that there is one thought this week that is getting me through the days. I’ve decided this is my Mantra of the Week and it will continue to be what I repeat in my head until I finally find some breathing space.

Whenever something goes wrong at work, or I can’t seem to get ahead on the baseball prep, or I forget something I needed to do, or I get some feedback that’s is less than stellar compared to how hard I worked, I just remind myself:

I am literally hurtling through space on a giant rock. It’s really not that big of a deal.

That’s it. That’s what I’m using to get through this week. This blog post is simple but hopefully if you are going through some stressful times, the idea of a mantra to get you through will help.

Here’s to easier days ahead! Thanks for reading. What’s your current mantra?
