Weekly Review 1/21 – 1/27

My weekly reviews are going to be shorter and to the point. I’m making this year about simplifying!

Weekly Review:

1. Fun – Score: 5
Highs: We had fun at a local basketball tournament for a couple days
Lows: Of course, a nasty cold is making its way through our family taking us down one by one. Fun has been sleeping, does that count?
 
2. Career – Score: 8
Highs: I am busy at work, which always brings me a high score. A long to-do list of items that I know how to accomplish is one of my favorite things.
Lows: I still need to ramp up my training as we are in a new year and I have new training goals.
 
3. Contributions/Giving – Score: 3
Highs: I have been doing better to donate when I have the chance.
Lows: Still looking for more ways to help.
 
4. Spirituality – Score: 3
Highs: I have “Living Untethered” checked out to read before bed. Just need to get to it.
Lows: Need to get back to it consistently.
 
5. Finances – Score: 7
Highs: This area is doing well. We splurged a little during the holidays and are still on a good track.
Lows: No budget and have not synced my tracker in awhile.
 
6. Relationship – Score: 6
Highs: This area has had some improvement lately.
Lows: We have been way too busy lately with kid sports and activities to go on any dates or to have much alone time.
 
7. Environment – Score: 6
Highs: I am still following the Declutter 365 calendar to declutter my whole house. We are almost through the first month and I haven’t missed a day. Yes!
Lows: We still have our Christmas tree up. Yikes. ‘Nuff said.
 
8. Family/friends – Score: 6
Highs: Have spent some time with friends and family during kid sports.
Lows: With the sickness moving through our household, we have had to avoid most of our people.
 
9. Personal Development – Score: 7
Highs: I had a lull in this area as I wasn’t sure what to read or study next but I’m finally getting into a new groove for the new year.
Lows: Too many books to read and never enough time.
 
10. Health – Score: 7
Highs: I have almost completed a running plan from the book “Run Less, Run Faster”. I am running three days a week and weight lifting four days a week. I double up on Mondays and Sundays are my rest days. I’m loving it and my running pace is definitely improving.
Lows: I am not seeing the physical and body composition changes I was hoping to see at this point.
 
Weekly Total: 58/100
We continue to be busy with kids sports including travel basketball and indoor soccer. I kicked off 2024 with big plans and big goals and I have been pleasantly surprised by how well I’ve done getting my shit done. I’m one month in and I’m still going strong. Hoping to keep it up through February and beyond!
 
My focus areas for this week are:
1. Health – I have a nasty cold and I need to get over it and get back my upping my strength routine.
2. Spirituality – Need to get back into the routine of reading before bed, even if just for a couple pages.
