Weekly Review 10/15 – 10/21

My weekly reviews are going to be shorter and to the point. I’m making this year about simplifying!

Weekly Review:

1. Fun – Score: 8

 
Highs: We traveled for a soccer tournament and my daughter’s team went undefeated and won their second (and last) tournament of the season. I love getting out of town and it was fun with friends. Plus, we finally got the hot tub we’ve been waiting a long time for and it’s been lots of fun.
Lows: I gave myself a goal to try new things. I finally joined a book club a few months ago but I only went once and then lots of life things happened. I’m hoping to go to the next one but still have not made it very far into the book.

2. Career – Score: 8
 
Highs: I have three big projects going at work and I love to stay busy so this makes me happy. I’ve been keeping up on everything so that is a win for this week.
Lows: I continue to get behind on the training schedule I set for myself at the beginning of the year. Oh well.

3. Contributions/Giving – Score: 2

Highs: Not much for highs in this area.
Lows: Still really lacking in this area.

4. Spirituality – Score: 2

Highs: Not much of a high in this category.
Lows: Need to find a good spirituality-related book to read before bed again. It was such a nice way to wrap up the day.

5. Finances – Score: 7

Highs: Saving well and making progress on some fun family goals.
Lows: No budget and have not synced my tracker in awhile.

6. Relationship – Score: 5

Highs: We had a few good discussions without arguing.
Lows: Still trying to avoid each other so that we don’t argue as much. Ugh.

7. Environment – Score: 6

Highs: I have decluttered both of the kids rooms during the last two weeks and we now have a family rule that there is no screen time unless their rooms and bathroom are clean up (back to where I had them). Two weeks and their rooms still look fantastic so it’s working!
Lows: I still have quite a few areas to tackle. Ugh.

8. Family/friends – Score: 7

Highs: Lots of fun traveling for sports with friends and looking forward to even more fun.
Lows: Still working on making new friends.

9. Personal Development – Score: 7

Highs: I have found a good rhythm getting in PD podcast episodes whenever I’m driving by myself and also fitting in reading whenever I have a chance during the day.
Lows: Need more time for all I want to do!

10. Health – Score: 8

Highs: This area is still going super well. I have been tracking my macros with really focusing on my protein intake while I do a heavy lifting program. I have dropped a few pounds without losing muscle and I think I’m exactly where I want to be now. I’ve been loving tracking my macros instead of restricting in other ways because I can eat what I want as long as I just fit it in my macros. If I know I’m going to be eating too much carbs or treats, I just up my protein for my other meals. I was even able to do well when traveling, which in the past has usually derailed me.
Lows: Not much for a low here, just need to keep up with the protein focus.

Weekly Total: 60/100 (+4 from last week)

This week was a break in between fall and winter sports seasons so we were able to have normal family dinners every night and a bit of a breather. Looking forward to Halloween and family fun!
My focus areas for this week are:

1. Environment – Daily declutter has been going well and I want to keep it up.

2. Relationship – Rough month. Still need to keep this area as a focus.
