Weekly Review:
1. Fun – Score: 6
- Highs: We had some fun with friends this week getting together for a birthday party. Looking forward to nicer weather and summer plans!
- Lows: Still coming down off from our vacation highs. Feeling the need to plan something to look forward to.
- Highs: Had a good week at work. I’m on a new project that is exciting and I’m starting to feel better about all the tasks I need to do for that project. I’m also taking the lead on the previous project I was on as it starts to slow and only need one person to manage it, which I’m enjoying.
- Lows: Still feeling a little bit lost since the new project started while I was gone for vacation and I haven’t quiet found my bearings. Looking to improve that this week and really get some work done.
- Highs: Still working on how I can increase this score. May need to set this as a focus area soon.
- Lows: I know if I could focus on this area and get some better scores, my overall score would really increase. Ugh. Frustrated I don’t have the time for this one. Even if I could just brainstorm some ideas I could count that as a win.
- Highs: No real highlights for this area this week.
- Lows: My meditation time has shortened again to only my two minutes during my Miracle Mornings. I know this isn’t enough but I couldn’t seem to find the full 15 minutes during the day anymore.
- Highs: Had a few positive things happen in this area this week. I’m feeling like we are on track in this area.
- Lows: Budgeting has always been on my list in this area along with tracking our spending better. I also want to revisit the action items I took away from “The Automatic Millionaire”. Such a great book.
- Highs: Had a fun week together and enjoyed some good laughs.
- Lows: Still need some date nights to get this to a level 10. We’ve had quiet a few discussions lately about how nice it will be when the kids are old enough to stay home alone and we can go out whenever we want. Countdown has begun!
- Highs: I knocked out some cleaning tasks on Saturday night when I was feeling lazy and unmotivated, which helped my 12 Week Year numbers improve. We also may have some visitors coming in a couple months and that has given me some extra motivation to get some new furniture and things we’ve been putting off.
- Lows: Still coming down from the high of vacation where we stayed in a nice hotel for half the time where our room was clean with NO CLUTTER. I miss that feeling.
- Highs: Visited some friends for a birthday party this week and then went out to lunch with a good girl friend. It was so nice! Can’t wait to keep doing more of this.
- Lows: I miss some family I haven’t seen in awhile so hopefully I can see them soon.
- Highs: I’m keeping up with my reading and enjoying it. For work, I’m reading “Dare to Lead” by Brene Brown. I love that I’m being “forced” to read a PD book that I’ve been wanting to read for awhile. I’m also reading a good book around women and nutrition/health. I’ll post about it soon.
- Lows: Lately I’ve been more and more worried that I’m spending all my time reading about PD and goals instead of actually doing any work. Need to spend some time on this.
- Highs: I started a new 13 week workout program this week and I’m absolutely LOVING it. It’s with a different trainer so that is a good change, plus it really focuses on mobility and flexibility and form, which I think my body needs.
- Lows: Macro counting was going so well before vacation, but I’m feeling burned out on trying to weigh everything all the time. Instead, I want to focus on getting enough protein, but that’s hard without weighing still, so I’m feeling lost in this area. Also, I have a few runs coming up that I need to start training for but it’s been SNOWING here this week and that’s frustrating. Ugh.
I’m still feeling the post-vacation let down, but it’s getting somewhat better. However, we’ve been getting snow for the last week and I’m just feeling down. The sun during vacation really lifted my spirits and attitude. Hopefully I can make some improvements this week and get some motivation.
My first focus area was Environment last week. I felt great actually getting all my cleaning tasks done, no matter how unmotivated I was. However, I still didn’t get a good direction to follow for doing some redecorating (really decorating at all since we haven’t since we built our home).
My other focus area was fun. We spent some good times with friends this week so that helped. We also started making some plans for the next few months, so that gives us some things to look forward to. This weekend was the last weekend before all the spring sports start going full-speed, so we enjoyed the quiet.
My focus areas for this week are:
1. Environment – I have had a goal on my 10 goal list to get our home fully decluttered, organized, decorated, and always company ready. This goal has been on my list forever and I don’t seem to do anything about it. I’m getting frustrated that I have these goals on my Top 10 Goals List and I do nothing toward any of them. It’s time.
2. Spirituality – I want to get this area above a 2, where it has been for a long time. I need to start brainstorming what it would take to increase this area. Brainstorming is such a simple activity that I can do anytime of the day (in between meetings when I have a spare five minutes, while I drift off to sleep, when I’m waiting for practice to be over). I just need to do it!
Have a Level 10 week!
