Weekly Review:

1. Fun – Score: 8

  • Highs: We had a really fun week which included baseball games, waterslides, and an overnight date for my husband and me. What a great week!
  • Lows: Not much for lows here. Hoping to pack in more fun before school starts in a few weeks.
2. Career – Score: 8

  • Highs: We finished the big project I have been working on and it is officially live. It feels so great! I am trying to take a breath but we still have updates to do and another project that I get to jump back to. No rest here but I love that!
  • Lows: Now that I have a little more breathing room, it’s time to get back to my training I had planned for this year.
3. Contributions/Giving – Score: 2
  • Highs: I need to brainstorm some ideas to increase this area.
  • Lows: Still a sad, low score.
4. Spirituality – Score: 4
  • Highs: I upped this score one point because I have been consistently reading “The Power of Now” each night before bed. Even if it’s time to turn out the lights, I still pick up the book and read for a minute or two. Better than nothing!
  • Lows: Need to work on implementing what I’m reading.
5. Finances – Score: 8
  • Highs: This week I really devoted some time to getting my financial software back on track and up to date. We were way behind with getting our transactions entered and our accounts balanced in there. This was a huge step to getting to a budget (which is a goal I’ve had for awhile).
  • Lows: I have a little more work to do with getting our info entered so I can begin a budget, but I am much closer!
6. Relationship – Score: 8
  • Highs: We finally enjoyed some alone time with an overnight trip and it was SO SO needed for us.
  • Lows: Not much of a low here. We need to continue to find ways to connect during the weekdays when we are go go go but feeling good.
7. Environment – Score: 6
  • Highs: I tackled a few hot spots this last week. Also, after we were away for a night, we came home and instead of leaving unpacking for the rest of the week, instead I threw in laundry and completely unpacked myself and cleared off the messy island counter. That felt great.
  • Lows: We may have some friends coming to stay with us soon and the house is absolutely not even close to being ready for “stay over” visitors. Ugh.
8. Family/friends – Score: 6
  • Highs: Only saw family quickly in passing this week, but we have lots of plans coming up to see them more.
  • Lows: Making plans to see lots more of family soon.
9. Personal Development – Score: 7
  • Highs: I just finished a book called “Letting Go” and I’m really excited to start implementing what I learned.
  • Lows: I haven’t had much time to focus on my “Blueprint” goals and planning.
10. Health – Score: 7
  • Highs: I really came off a high from finishing the 5K in under 30 minutes. It’s been 90+ degrees here every day so I haven’t went for a run in over a week. I know my body needed a little rest. Also, I’ve moved on to a new workout program that is 6 days a week for about 30-40 minutes per day. This makes it difficult to run in the morning and with the temps being so high, running later than 9am doesn’t work right now. My plan is to try to sneak in a run on Sunday, my rest day, or another day that is cooler in the morning.
  • Lows: I started tracking my macros again because I have had really good success with that to help me reach my protein goals. However, it’s really time consuming and just stresses me out and drains me, so right now I’m trying to find a balance of not having to weigh every single bite but still getting in my protein. Hmm. Any suggestions?
Weekly Total: 63/100 (+1 points from last week)

This last week was absolutely so busy but fun. We got in an overnight (adults only!) trip for our anniversary, we had some final baseball games of the summer, the kids hit up the waterpark, and I had a big project that had a successful go live. What a week!

My focus areas for this week are:

1. Home/Environment – We may have some visitors soon and we absolutely have to get the house in shape.

2. Finances – I made huge progress in this areas the past week and I want to keep the momentum going so I’m going to add this as a focus.

What are you working on this week? I’d love to hear about it in the comments below.
