Weekly Review 4/2 – 4/8

My weekly reviews are going to be shorter and to the point. I’m making this year about simplifying!

Weekly Review:

 

1. Fun – Score: 7

  • Highs: Enjoying some quality time with kids lately.
  • Lows: Going through some post-travel blues and wishing I was still on vacation!
2. Career – Score: 7

  • Highs: Had a lighter week at work which was much needed.
  • Lows: I need to focus on my training this week. I had a good week but it was difficult to come back after some fun time off.
3. Contributions/Giving – Score: 2
  • Highs: Not much for highs in this area.
  • Lows: Really lacking in this area.
4. Spirituality – Score: 4
  • Highs: I have done well with reading “The Untethered Soul” before bed and actually thinking about it during the day, which has historically been hard for me to do.
  • Lows:  Still need more work in this area.
5. Finances – Score: 8
  • Highs: We have made some larger purchases lately that have been on our list for a long time.
  • Lows: Still need to make sure my money tracker is synced.
6. Relationship – Score: 6
  • Highs: We had fun getting away together.
  • Lows: Now that spring sports are ramping up, it’s hard to find quality time together.
7. Environment – Score: 6
  • Highs: Our home is still looking pretty good in some areas.
  • Lows: In other areas, it’s looking a little rough.
8. Family/friends – Score: 7
  • Highs: We had some great quality time together as a family and are still riding that wave.
  • Lows:  Back to the real world of school, work and spring sports.
9. Personal Development – Score: 7
  • Highs: I have a few ideas for this but need to get going on them.
  • Lows: I’m feeling stuck lately on what to do next.
10. Health – Score: 7
  • Highs: I finished a three month long workout program and I’m so happy I did. I also started a goal of 10,000 steps per day and I’m loving that.
  • Lows: My energy has been very low lately along with my motivation. Ugh.
Weekly Total: 61/100 (-5 points from last week)

I really struggled with motivation and energy this week. On Saturday, my husband ran a bunch of errands and I thought I was finally going to tackle my long to do list. Instead I sat around googling “how to get motivated” and “why do I have no energy”. Something seems off and I really need to get to the bottom of it.

My focus areas for this week are:

1. Environment – Our home needs a lot of work mainly around decluttering and purging some excess junk. Keeping this focus area for this week.

2. Health – I am starting a new running plan to get me ready for my first race of the season coming up. Need to make sure I’m getting enough to eat and doing stretches and rolling my muscles. Also really need to figure out this lack of energy and drive.
