Weekly Review:

1. Fun – Score: 8

  • Highs: We have definitely been having a lot of fun lately. We went to two minor league baseball games this weekend and we are having so much fun at them! The kids go and play on this grassy hill that’s still in the stadium and then hubby and I watch the game. It feels like we are almost on a date since the kids have so much fun with friends that they only come to see us when they want a snack. We also went fishing on Saturday morning. We finally have some camping plans lined up, so that’s exciting as well!
  • Lows: Not much for lows here, hoping to keep up the fun!
2. Career – Score: 7

  • Highs: Work is super busy still. We have a big project that’s coming to a close and lots to do! I love being busy and productive.
  • Lows:  Still haven’t had much time for training but I’m learning a lot still during my day to day tasks so that counts.
3. Contributions/Giving – Score: 2
  • Highs: No real highs here still. Sigh.
  • Lows: This area continues to drag down my total score but even worse, I should have some more opportunities for giving in my life and that’s dragging down my soul.
4. Spirituality – Score: 3
  • Highs: I’m trying to re-read “The Power of Now” by Eckhart Tolle. Did more reading this week and trying to catch myself up.
  • Lows: Keeping this low because I haven’t been reading consistently before bed like I want.
5. Finances – Score: 7
  • Highs: This area is still going well. Made some fun purchases lately.
  • Lows: I need some concrete goals to strive for in this area. I’ve always wanted to build a budget and track it. Know any good apps for this?
6. Relationship – Score: 7
  • Highs: We have had a ton of fun at a few baseball games this weekend – almost like we were on dates since the kids went off with friends! We also went on a walk/run on Saturday morning by ourselves. Love it!
  • Lows: Not much for lows here, just need to keep it up!
7. Environment – Score: 6
  • Highs: The house cleaning from the Fourth of July didn’t last very long, haha. I was able to get a decent reset when we got home late the other night instead of my usual flop-on-the-couch-and-scroll, so that was nice!
  • Lows: I have a lot of random piles I need to go through (travel stuff, suitcases, birthday box, school piles). Ugh.
8. Family/friends – Score: 8
  • Highs: We have been seeing friends and family and enjoying summer fun.
  • Lows: I have some friends I haven’t seen in awhile so hoping to get to see them soon.
9. Personal Development – Score: 7
  • Highs: I’m still working through some goal setting with a system called “The Blueprint”. I have paused some of my work with that since it asked you to track your time for a week before continuing…so I did! I’m excited to see what I learn from that time tracking and where “The Blueprint” takes me next.
  • Lows: I have been getting behind in the “$100 Startup” book and it was motivating me, but I haven’t jumped back into it. Need to!
10. Health – Score: 7
  • Highs: I have been running consistently again. The other morning we went fishing and I actually did a 2 mile run while we were there. It felt great to get those goals in!
  • Lows: I’m still not running consistently as fast as I did last year before the 5K. I need to push to get this goal accomplished.
Weekly Total: 62/100 (+0 points from last week)

We had a very busy week. Kids activities, summer camps, baseball games, and fishing with family. I think we have almost every weekend for the rest of the summer packed with activities so I’m looking forward to what is to come!

My focus areas for this week are:

1. Home/Environment – Need to keep it at a baseline of clean and tackle a few more piles.

2. Spirituality – I skipped a few days of reading “The Power of Now” so I need to make sure I get back to this routine. I can do it!

What are you working on this week? I’d love to hear about it in the comments below.
