Weekly Review:
1. Fun – Score: 6
- Highs: We had a less busy week since basketball is over. We planned on snowboarding on Saturday but I hurt my back so instead we had a kid sleepover which was fun. Still found a way to have a fun three-day weekend, so that was great.
- Lows: I hurt my back so we had to cancel snowboarding, which was a bummer because the weather was fairly decent on Saturday. Oh well.
- Highs: Worked hard this week and got a lot done. Feelin great after my yearly review.
- Lows: I had to make a big decision at work this week on which way to go with a task and I’m concerned I made the wrong decision. We’ll see what this week brings.
- Highs: Still working on how I can increase this score.
- Lows: See above.
- Highs: My meditation practice went well this week. I found ways to get it in even when I was super busy.
- Lows: Need more work in this area. Still feeling a little lost.
- Highs: Feeling great this week with a raise at work and other good news.
- Lows: Still need to get more organized in this area.
- Highs: Valentine’s Day was low-key but still a nice night in. We had a kid activity that night but I like it more low key. Also, even though hurting my back has kept us at home, we’ve been enjoying our nights in while the kids have friends over, and that’s been fun.
- Lows: Still need that date night!
- Highs: Still going strong with Declutter 365. Having guests over made us clean up more than usual so that’s always a bonus :).
- Lows: Haven’t had the motivation I need to do extra decluttering. I’ll get there.
- Highs: Both our kids had friends over this weekend, so that has been fun. Happy that we are no longer sick.
- Lows: Still haven’t seen much family but hoping that will change soon.
- Highs: I’ve been reading a few good books and actually trying to answer some tough questions and make changes instead of just moving on to the next book.
- Lows: I have too many books to read and not enough time to read them.
- Highs: I am continuing to macro count and I have been feeling amazing. Dropped of a few of those holiday pounds that were making me feel fluffy and slow. My workouts have been amazing.
- Lows: I hurt my back this week when I picked up one of my kids at a bad angle. I’ve done this twice before and it just sucks. I can’t bend over at all and it’s been hurting for 4 days. I’m hoping it starts to improve soon, but ugh. My score this week would probably have been a 9 without this back injury.
I didn’t make much improvement in the “spirituality” category. I checked out The Untethered Soul but didn’t get a chance to review it.
I definitely made some improvements in my “environment” category with how clean our house is due to guests. Also started looking at Pinterest for some ideas to start decorating.
My focus areas for this week are:
1. Health/Fitness: I need to make sure I do stretches and work on improving my back this week. Once it’s back to normal, I would like to do more exercises to make it stronger so this happens less (I usually tweak it once a year).
2. Career: I’m worried I made a bad decision at work so I need to spend this week making sure we can move ahead successfully.
