‘Tis the Season…

My goal with this blog was to document my attempt at getting organized and to provide a place for others that are struggling with similar issues to come and laugh and realize they are not alone.  To do this, I felt that posting a couple times a week would keep me accountable and keep others engaged. 

Alas, it has been eight days since my last post, and I know this.  This fact has nagged me for the last five days.  Please forgive me.  I just couldn’t.  And no, I am suddenly not cured of my disorganization and therefore no longer posting. 

Instead, I am nose-fucking-deep in the Christmas season and I’m not seeing an end in sight.  Somehow, I became a little complacent with the first weekend of December landing on the 1st and the 2nd and I felt like I just had so much time.  HA.  Lies.  I tell myself lies.

This weekend, in the span of 48 hours, we somehow managed to accomplish a Christmas holiday parade, a birthday party, shopping for said birthday party, shopping for another party, an Ugly Sweater party with friends, most of our Christmas present shopping for our kids (which is thus a feat in itself as kids cannot be present), getting a tree, fully decorating that tree, and decorating the house.  And somehow the house looks almost presentable, which I stayed up extra late trying to accomplish.

Excuses, excuses, but there you have it.  The reasons why this blog has been delayed.  The first weekend of December it all seemed too early, and now suddenly we are 10 days in and panic has started.

So, my posting in December may be sporadic.  It may be non-existent.  But it will be what it is.  I, of course, have exciting and grandiose plans for 2019.
