Weekly Review:

 

1. Fun – Score: 4

  • Highs: Another busy week of kids’ sports and activities. Went out for breakfast on Saturday morning and had some great laughs and a fun time.
  • Lows: Being so busy during the week causes us to be tired and lazy on the weekends so we mostly stay at home…even though my brain is telling me “Find something to do! Go snowboarding! We should be out and about!”. Really battling with this.
2. Career – Score: 6

  • Highs: Made some great progress on a project at work and took some risks that were out of my comfort zone.
  • Lows: Still doing a lot of research which is not as fun for me.
3. Contributions/Giving – Score: 2
  • Highs: Still working on how I can increase this score.
  • Lows: See above.
4. Spirituality – Score: 3
  • Highs: I am still working on improving my meditation. It went better this week and felt peaceful.
  • Lows: Need more work in this area. Feeling a little lost.
5. Finances – Score: 6
  • Highs: Our saving is going well and we are well-positioned for some home projects we want to accomplish.
  • Lows: No real lows, just need to try and get to a budget this year.
6. Relationship – Score: 5
  • Highs: Had a good week and lots of laughs. 
  • Lows: We are in desperate need of a date night. Spending too much time running the kids to separate activities and then too tired on Friday and Saturday nights to focus on us.
7. Environment – Score: 6
  • Highs: I’m still going strong with Declutter 365. I had been keeping up the organization of the pantry and fridge/freezer so that it doesn’t fall back into disarray. Read “The Home Edit” book and have a lot of inspiration.
  • Lows: I want our home to be always-company-ready. Read “The Home Edit” book and really feel behind.
8. Family – Score: 5
  • Highs: Spending some quality time together and had great laughs with my kids at breakfast on Saturday.
  • Lows: Hoping to see more of my family soon! We need some “cards and snacks” nights.
9. Personal Development – Score: 7
  • Highs: Doing great with this during the week. Reading some great motivational books and feeling very energized finally!
  • Lows: Waited too long to finish a couple books and now I’m about to lose them and I may be speed-reading more than I should.
10. Health – Score: 7
  • Highs: Started Phase 2 of 80 Day Obsession, which is my favorite. Loving the workouts! I also started counting macros and I’ve been feeling great physically. More energy for sure!
  • Lows: Need to do more rolling and stretching. Also need to find some goals. Can’t wait to start running!

I didn’t reach my goal of planning fun activities for our family this week and it shows in my scoring. I let the week get away from me and didn’t make any plans, which I usually try to do by Wednesday. I feel like I’m the only one in my household that cares about getting out of the house and doing things. I think we are all just burned out by Friday from working, basketball games, gymnastics, and baseball practices.

I did move forward with many of the decisions I needed to make at work and I feel great and ready to do the work. I dislike having to research and make decisions, I love the feeling when you know what you need to do and you just need to work on it and get it done. Thankfully I am finally at that point with a project at work.

My goals for this week include Fun again because I didn’t do well last week, and also with my relationship.

1. Fun: I’d like to plan some fun activities for next weekend. I’m thinking about snowboarding on Saturday and then making some fun snacks for SuperBowl on Sunday.

2. Relationship: I’ve been grumpy this week and a little negative. I’d like to improve my attitude toward hubby this week.
