Book Review: Four Thousand Weeks: Time Management for Mortals

Title: Four Thousand Weeks: Time Management for Mortals

Author: Oliver Burkeman

Biggest Takeaway:

How I read it: Physical book from my library

Backstory You Didn’t Ask For:  My to do list has way too many tasks. I can’t keep up. This book made me think about productivity a little differently. Instead of trying to hack how to get more done, can I accept the fact that I will never get to do everything on my list? And can knowing that and understanding that our limited 4000 or so weeks on this earth really is minuscule and we most likely will not be as legendary as we hope bring us more peace?

Recommend: Yes-ish

Highlights: Create a “closed list” of 10 items. Only focus on those 10 items. You cannot add another item to the list until you cross one off. I love this idea! With too many items on my to do list, it helps me to “star” 10 items and focus only on those. Try it out!

Stars: 3.5/5
